In 1965 Zesto’s drive up ice cream stand was transformed into a motorcycle dealership and the “Honda Shop” was born. The dealership selling Honda, Bridgestone and BSA motorcycles in 1965. Over the next decade the shop concentrated on Honda and in 1971 they also became a Suzuki dealer. The shop even sold Harley-Davidson for a short span; 1976 – 1981, and more recently, in 1991 the shop became a Kawasaki dealership. Also in the past we sold Honda power equipment, Sea-Doo personal water-craft and John Deere. We now concentrate all efforts on the motorcycle, ATV, UTV industry, currently selling three of the “big four” brands; Honda, Suzuki, and Kawasaki. As the shop’s specialization changed and the business grew; so did the shop. In 1971 a long corridor was added to connect a new service department addition. The corridor is now known as “Hog Heaven” where cruiser accessories are stored. In 1985 the parts department and office space upstairs were added to complete the transformation from an ice cream parlor to the mid-sized motorcycle dealership that is now know as Honda-Suzuki-Kawasaki of Florence. The ice cream parlor is now the sales floor where Honda, Suzuki, and Kawasaki sport bikes, cruisers, dirt bikes, ATV’s and side-by-sides are displayed. The shop has the largest selection of used bikes in the area, with over 75 in stock during the peak season. Where you could order your favorite ice cream creation in 1965; you can now order parts and accessories to accommodate your motorcycle needs. The shop has grown from three employees in 1965 to twenty employees today! The shop now has sales, financing, parts, and a service department – Honda-Suzuki-Kawasaki of Florence, KY has it all. The shop motto is “to fit every customer with the right product and meet all of their motorcycle and ATV needs”.

Here at Honda-Suzuki-Kawasaki of Florence we are proud of the team we put together at this dealership. Everyone rides, and that makes a big difference. When customers come in, whether they are talking to a sales, service or a parts person, they know that they’re talking to someone with personal experience to help them. We strive to carry our customers throughout years of riding, all the way from their first 50cc dirt bike to a Goldwing and in between. We also work hard to make Honda-Suzuki-Kawasaki of Florence more than a dealership - to make it a destination. We have televisions throughout the dealership that people can watch their favorite race or motorcycle video. We also have regulars who come in to see what’s new in the store or simply come in and talk. We are also proud of our service department; we think it’s the best in this market. We have three technicians, two service writers and a service manager, and they are up-to-date on the latest Honda, Suzuki, Kawasaki and Yamaha training. Advertising can bring people in, price is important, but you need to offer customers great service and great customer service is what we aim for every day.
